Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a new plug to the Antenna cable and if so what type of plug is the correct one?
Had a bit of a disaster today trying to feed cable down pushpit upright tube, with the result that the plug is now lodged inside there, probably for ever.

Hi Charlie
Try using flexable drain pipe rods;
I 'pumped' (used a bike pump)some fairy liquid into the tube from one end ( the end with the cable attached) and fed the drain rods from the other end, 10 mins and had mine out!
Then you need to push with rods and pull/twist the cable.
Good luck
Mike

Thanks for the replies. Its the little gold screw plug right enough. Any idea what they are called as mine is inside the pushpit with little chance of recovery as I have lost both ends and the mousing line broke also?
Thanks

That model was the Navman 6500.

Northstar bought out Navman (originally Kiwi owned), that was marketed in the Eurozone by Plastimo.

I have Navman instruments in our boat, and have given good service. A few others have had bad experiences of Navman.

I don't know what back-up will be like with Northstar.
