Northshore\'s gone over to the other side

Information from Tony.
Last friday he telephones me to say that i can report that MAGNUM was looking great /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The b@st@rd was in Palma /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
and standing near the very nice vessel.

He and a couple are doing a delivery job on a RAGGIE cat.
Appears the original crew who got her to Palma were not too impressed and did a bit of a runner.
So Palma to Turkey.
Jez....he offered to look in on your boat /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
A couple of batteries later and they are now motor cruising (dont think they know how to use the flappy things) to Sardinia.

Hi Dougie,

He'll have to go into Kos marina if he gets that far as it's the only blooming place for miles. He could do me a huge favour and look in on Whitelighter as an engineer has done some work and I can't get out there till August.

No mention of Kos yet, but i reminded him.

Post weekend updates

saturday he was in NE Sicily and sailing 24 hours a day. think they have three crew so taking it in turns.

Sunday
Left calabria on sole of Italy heading for Corinth Canal and into aegean Sea. Weather very hot....38 degs but hazy....using that as an excuse for pics not being very good.


Jez...says they will be going into Messina to refuel.

Now in Gulf of Corinth and going through Corinth Canal on Wednesday then into the Greek Isles.
fantastic trip but they are having long watches as they are still sailing 24 hours. travelling through the rocks and isles means careful navigation.

Jez banks.....he has to aplogise. it looks like they wont be able to check over Whitlighter for you. There is a charter party waiting in Turkey and because the original crew did a runner and problems with the boat at Mallorca they are sailing 24 hours to try to catch up 5 lost days.

Corinth canal this morning and entering Greek Isles this afternoon.

Having some strange weather...very warm but when it blows it blows hard. 50 kts!!!


Looks like they could be home by the weekend if the weather holds like it is now. then we will se how good the pics are!

Looks like the delivery is nearly completed

Overnight winds very strong f7/8 waves 4 metres but the cat is a great sea boat and very stable as long as the wind is not on the nose.
Should be into delivery port Friday morning and home sat/sun.

I can see him selling Barko and getting one of these raggie things with all the praise he keeps giving. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Then i shall have to teach him how to post the hunfreds of pics he should have taken. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
