North Sea charts - Humber to Edinburgh

in august I am going North in a series of day hops

I have the RNYC sailing directions

I have a slightly aged Reeds

I have two GPS devices

I need some paper charts

what is the minimum I need?

does anyone fancy a KTL DVD for chart swap before I go mad with paypal and the web

Imray C24 and C27 cover most of the distance for £36. The Reeds will have the harbour plans on. The pilot will describe the approaches. Apart from the busy commercial harbours there's not a lot on that bit of coast between the shore and a few miles out once you are clear of the Humber, apart from the islands off Northumberland which are worth a visit.

I like being close to the shore rather than schlepping out to sea

my favourite is the 20 foot contour
