About five years ago I bought a shell of a Norseman 33 which is a smaller version of the 38 and equally nice. It had been in a pub car park since 1967 and never fitted out but was still sound apart from some gel coat crazing. I sold it on and the new owner did a superb professional job of having her fitted out for river cruising.

That's interesting, was the pub just outside Bishops Lydeard on the way to Minehead? There was something very similar just outside a pub, can't remember the name, for many years.

used to be one called matooba tooba
fitted with a pair of 100hp thornycroft diesel engines in the same marina as me.
heavy fibre glass construction with an alloy framework I believe.
boat could also be beached as it prop's are protected with skegs.

Indeed props look well protected. Grp and alloy frame.. That's not usual is it, sounds good though.

don't much more about them mr fly...
the guy who owned it lived onboard and kept himself to himself.
never went onboard so not 100%sure about the frame work, just what I heard on the jungle drum's.

Tricia was berthed at Kip Marina on the west coast of Scotland in the mid-70's when I worked there as a fresh-faced youth.

It was a few years and many beers ago so I don't remember much about her except at that time the superstructure was varnished. She was one of two or three Norseman 38's kept there at the time
