Nore race this weekend 1st July

Anyone taking part in the nore race this weekend? I hope to be there again. :encouragement:

Ah, memories... competing on my Prindle 19 cat... Getting up at filthy o'clock to get to Thorpe Bay YC to launch before the tide went out, waiting around for the 0900 start and on one occasion finishing at about 1030, and finding a bit of sand to sit on whilst waiting for the tide to return to get back to TBYC... I've still got an engraved beer mug somewhere...

Some will be doing East Coast Piers Race out of Marconi SC - also this weekend. Larry has done that one a few times also....

Certainly did! Mind you I also did mooring in Mersea to Walton Pier in an hour and 45 in Gladys!
