None boat problem

i got my taskbar ie start bar on the computer stuck at the top somehow, tried to drag it down but it just gets wider please help

Just click in the middle somewhere where there are no buttons, and hold down theleft mouse button (cursor won't change) then drag it down.

cannot seem to be able to do that must be doing something wrong, any further help please

Put the cursor on the bar, away from a button. Click left mouse button and hold down. Wiggle the mouse round a little bit - you'll see the outline of the bar go shaded grey. Once it's turned grey, just drag the whole thing to the bottom.

If it doesn't turn grey , move the cursor to somewhere else on the bar
