Pretty bloody bad down there, water above all the lock gates, yalding and teston
Wateringbury bad as well, the chandlers is under water, they have their crane parked on the road
Spoke to the coastguard who were down there, they have declared an emergency they were all getting their wet gear on i assume to go and get the people out of the static homes, poor *******s living in the static homes near the cafe are all flooded out, going to be a **** night for some people.
Cars parked on the park near the pub, water level with top of their headlamps, several cars abandoned all over the place.
Last time i saw it like this was approx 10/12 years ago

Lots of water held back by the flood barrier at Leigh, but still some flooding downstream of it in Tonbridge. River level still rising so it is likely to get worse before it gets better. My son was in a shop in Tonbridge this afternoon when water surged up from under the carpet!

I feel for all those affected by this situation.

Said on the radio will peak early hours early hours christmas day, but then i suppose high tide at allington will slow the release of water down?

You can't get anywhere near Yalding today, the stone bridge pictured above is completely submerged and the village is cut off.
Lots of emergency services down there, hope everyone is OK.

This is the approach to the car park for one of my fishing club stretches, you go down under the bridge, onwards for a few yards and then left...

Been out today and its proper bad, theres some boats adrift down the bottom of Wharf road maidstone hard up against the footbridge, tried to see the boat names but could not make them out, smallest one was approx 22/5 foot long other one was much bigger i would guess 30 feet plus.
The river is still rising.
Maidstone town centre is shut off as the road has flooded right into the multi storey car park.
Teston bridge is virtually underwater, the whole park and the locks are flooded
I drove past the chandlers in wateringbury yesterday and the water was approx 2 feet deep, today its probably double that.

Been out again today, the level has dropped but still bad, all bridges across the river are shut, the car that was underwater by Teston bridge has gone.
Wateringbury is a real mess, the chandlers is almost flooded up to the bottom of their sign.
The boat wedged against the foot bridge on Wharf road is still there but listing to port
Owner went out in his waders and got the engines running in an attempt to move it, but there is rope around the props so hes stuck, said they were going to come back later for another try.
