I need to buy approx 50 to 60metres of 25mm wide (1") self adhesive non-slip tape grey in colour. It needs to be water resistant. I would like to buy from supplier/manufacturer rather than pay £4/metre at swindleries. TBS is one brand name but I can't find a website or contact details for them. Can anybody recommend another source where I can buy the amount I need at reasonable cost? Toolstation have it but only in black and I'd prefer grey if possible.
Thanks,
R

Try a builders or plumbers merchant. You can get damn good stuff that's used in baths and shower trays. Sticks well when immersed and blasted with hot soapy water, so no probs with cold salt.

If you have an Ikea near to you they sell self adhesive non-slip tape intended for steps. Black unfortunately, but very cheap. I have used it on my cabin hatch and it shows no signs of deterioration after 2 seasons.

I've found it in builders merchants - grit faced but only in black and a textured plastic from swindleries in a wide range of colours. For large quantites the cheapest way might be to use paint and masking tape - either proprietary deck paint or gloss mixed with grit/fillite.

Screwfix have at just over £1 m.
£33 for 30m.
Black but I think you will find dust and salt will soon give a grey effect.

You could buy one roll and check it but it stayed on my boat for 3 seasons and was still in good condition when I sold it.

No need to email me - the price is as follows:

Self adhesive strips in grey, 25mm wide 10m long strips £14.01 inc vat per strip

It works out at around £1.40 per linear metre. Now you can send me an email if you want it.
