I have used the non slip matting you can by from a roll at the chandlery, cut to fit inside the fiddles on my saloon table, for some time and it could really do with a wash. As anybody done this and can you just put it in the washing machine?

Yes you can. It might be best to use some warm water/washing up liquid & a brush and just give it a gentle 'scrub' both sides before putting it in the machine. Just to loosen any debris that might be stuck in the holes. :)

OMG!!! Just think of the MMGW issue, wash what you have and don't get sucked into the disposable society :D

I agree entirely, was just a way of letting everyone know that the same stuff is available at a fraction of the cost. Mine (which came from the pound shop) is washed over and over - I hate waste!

I keep "borrowing" some from work but I believe if you go to a carpet shop they do a really fine meshed one, cheap as chips as a underlay.

Yes washing machine is fine (I have never worried about temp set as long as not a hot wash), just DO NOT tumble dry.

Washing often seems to make them more "sticky" again...
