If its Wigton in Cumbria, you owe it to yourself to stay in 4 * accommodation as compensation.
Two of my staff live in Wigton so I have asked them for ideas.

Sorry for the delay, after canvassing my staff, even the Wigton residents laughed. They did suggest a couple of places though
Sun Inn at Red Dial, pub with rooms and a great restaurant. Its on the A 595 about 1 mile from Wigton, or just a half mile further up the 595 is Greenhill Hotel. A proper hotel that I have used for meetings and sometimes will use for accommodation for visitors to the office.
PS dont judge all Cumbrians by the people of Wigton and ignore any refrence to Jameaters that you may hear.
