Non boaty (sorry) - cleaning mildew off a tent

Apologies but thought this question best posted here: I have a Gelert tent that has some mildew spots and other marks on. I would like to clean these and then waterproof the tent. Recommendations gratefully received.

PS - I lazy and would prefer to stick it into the washing machine if possible?

That's essentially diluted bleach with a fancy label, the OP could save a fortune and just use household bleach.

Hypochlorite bleach can be detrimental to fabrics. Use with caution and rinse thoroughly. Its use is generally not advised on synthetic fabrics
