Non boaty. Electric convector heaters

I have just bought a couple of cheap (as in cheap and nasty) heaters from Aldi.

They can be fitted with feet for free standing use or with mounting brackets for wall mounting.

The feet will raise them about 5cm from the floor.

The instructions for wall mounting say leave 80cm between them and the floor.

80cm? Why 80cm? Misprint or some reason I have not thought of ?

I was intending to fit them about 8 to 10 inches from the floor. Really don't want them "half way" up the wall.

Any ideas anyone?

I can think of two possible reasons:

They are more efficient at this height
There is some regulation about wall mounted heaters

Put them where you want.
