We've two fridges on the boat, the one in the galley is pretty quiet when the compressor starts but the one under the cockpit wet bar is quite noisy. is there experience of the same and if so, did you manage to quieten it down a bit with a fix of some sorts as we're needing to turn it off at night to get a good nights sleep.

thanks Gary

usually, if it not the compressor vibrating bcs of loose mountings, it's revcerberation from an adjacent or contiguous flat panel.

Can you make it run more quietly by pressing on nearby structural bits of the boat ?

If so, then those panels need damping, e.g. number plate sticky fixers and a piece of lead plate to alter the reverb characteristics.

good shout on that score, I'll have a good look and feel around next time I'm down the boat. just won't do not having the beer chilled overnight, so needs fixing :)
