Hugo's editorial in Dec's MBY seems to be suggesting that he hasn't got lucky in an internal reshuffle at IPC and is having to make the best of a bad job:
Translations:
"SIBS was really quite a lot better than it might have been" = Magnum ordered a new squeaker and a few punters turned up.
"It's a great time to be buying" = Ooh yes. Some poor bastid's lost his business so he'll take 50% of what it's worth for his boat. I guess the thinking is that the poor sods on the way down will have cancelled their subs to MBY already.
"Things can only get better" = You tell'em Hugo. It worked for Tony Blair, after all.
