No status light on and apparently no power to AIS700

My AIS700 always worked fine but the last few months it has stopped working. I have a Raymarine Axiom 9 MFD and it reports no power to the AIS. The AIS unit has two connections at the bottom and 3 at the top. How do I know if it is receiving power, ie: Which cable is the one that carries the power to the unit? When I connect my laptop with ProAis2 a red status light comes on but it does not see the unit. I suspect this is because the unit is either faulty or the power supply is not reaching the unit. How do I check the power to the unit? I'm a little useless when it comes to this so if someone could help me determine where the power supply cable is I could try and probe it with a multimetre. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Take a look at page 20 of the manual where it details the power connections and pin layout.

There is LED status info and basic diagnostics on page 30.

Once again, thanks for your response. I actually managed to trace the power wire and found that the inline 3amp fuse had no continuity. I replaced it and my AIS is up and running again.
