to-day. Daughter is getting married and I am doing the 'walking down the aisle' thing and the speech thing, oh and the paying for it thing.

All of you sailors have a nice day, and if any of you have young daughters, start saving now.

Enjoy.

Have a joyful day, and best wishes to the happy couple /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Send us a piccy and couple of decent jokes when you and your wallet recover !

Gave away the last of 3 daughters last month. And what a fatuous expression that is!
We now have a photo of me displaying empty pockets alongside the girls showing off their wedding rings.

Have a good day. If you're not one for regular speeches, just remember that everyone is predisposed towards you and the real pressure for wit is on the Best Man. At our latest wedding everyone wanted to get in on the speechmaking, including the bride and the groom's mother!

It usually goes down well to commiserate with the groom's father on finding himself living with a mother-in-law (not quite as bad as sleeping with a grandmother which befell me last year)
