(well lack thereof).
Reading another thread from 'our illustrious retired member of the Grey Funnel Line', I notice from the river conditions site that there are no functioning EA pump outs from Boveney to Abingdon (which latter is frequently out of order 'cos the tank gets full... There aren't (m)any third party units in that stretch either.
Shiplake is quite frequently broken and Mapledurham has been broken for some months now.

No wonder why some folks just open the sea cocks.

GET A GRIP EA.

Thames & Kennet Marina (between Sonning & Caversham locks) has a pump out, in case anyone reading this is in that area and is in need!

Not sure how much I'm afraid (free for me as I'm based there)

There are a few Marinas who will offer pump outs between Boveney and Abingdon!

The one opposite the Bounty is eye wateringly expensive however! :disgust:

Harleyford is also to be avoided by anyone on a budget.
But at least the Marinas do it for you and some include a dose of chemicals. And they rinse the tank out.
Compared to the EA who'll take £10.50 for an unreliable self service machine and if you want to rinse out your tank you'll need to spend £21 on two tickets. There is a pause button, but(as I found out to my cost), it pauses the pump and not the timer.
