Watch out Chubby`s about, get those fenders ready if you see us coming!

On what was briefly considered for the Solent to Poole cruise, we are heading out from Portsmouth Easter Monday, aiming to be on the Hamble for the weekend, wherever the weather takes us in between, maybe Weymouth to see if the young lady in the fish and chip takeaway has learnt any customer service skills: when offered tartar sauce in our mackerel bap just put the plastic sachet in unopened, or maybe Poole to contribute another big wedge of cash to the Boat Haven, or perhaps Yarmouth and Lymington, who knows, anyway come and say hello, tag along or if you have shiny topsides keep clear as you wish. We will try to remember to hoist the forum burgee!

Well. we'll give you a wave as you go past. We'll be messing about in the RORC Easter Challenge as the professionals try to teach us old dogs some new tricks and we get to be filmed from those little drone helicopter things. I expect it will be really good right up to the point when the debriefing begins and we need to sneak quietly away to the bar. Give us a wave too, we're on a dark blue J-109 called Jybe Talkin'.

I am actually setting off on Monday, we have an invite to friends for dinner on Friday and a return match on Sunday, real pain when social events are arranged during valuable sailing time :(, plus no! daughter who is crewing is working nights until Monday am so any chance of getting away over Easter is scuppered hence heading off on Monday, will get the west going tide on Monday afternoon, thinking of beer, I have a huge 3L bottle of xmas ale, with a best before date of end april 2014, guess where it is going!!!!!!

Well back at home! The Forum didn`t miss much weather wise, went Yarmouth, to Poole, two days in the boat haven: I had plans of anchoring off Brownsea but in constant rain there is a lot to be said for staying alongside despite the damage to the wallet, then back to Newtown via a lunch stop in South Deep, Newtown to Lymington in poor vis and pouring rain, didn`t even roll up the canopy of get any sail up, to discharge the crew via the train, then a stonking sail home with ketch rig of mizzen and reefed jib in a F6 yesterday with the forecast of Portland F8 imminent ringing in my ears! So the forum burgee flew over Poole, Good wishes for any plans later in the season!
He's just making sure that everyone knows he got to Poole!
