Hmm, the Nic 26 wasn'r featured in the top 100. Why, I wonder? I know they are "rare" but they sail better's the MacWester and the Centaur and there were enough one-offs in the list for this not to be a criterion.

Are they in league with PBO?

I think that list was just made up in the office to make people buy the mag and then wind them up because their boat particular boat wasn't in it. Mine went in the recycling bin after about 12 secs. And, no, before you ask, my boat wasn't in it!

I feel YM has lost the plot a bit now its 50 (a milestone I reached 5 years ago if anybody quibbles). If I want to read an article about cameras I'd buy Amateur Photographer, and I wasn't sure about the piece about seagulls either.

But they had the good sense to include my boat (Achilles 24) in the 100 Best Boats so I haven't cancelled my subscription yet.

A fifty year old centenary, interesting?

I disagree, as many of us carry cameras on board and many people do ask about digital cameras and boats, I think YM had every reason to print the article.

I carry binoculars I would be interested if YM tested binoculars and not winge that I could have read a bird spotting publication if I wanted to read about binoculars.

I am getting fed up of people who whine about the magazine on their own site. Criticism is good, but rather than anything constructive on here we just get ooh that was rubbish.

Are we turning into a country of moaning minnies or is it just miserable sailors?

While on this, I would like to thank PBO for evidently listening/reading my long letter of discontent and have made big efforts in realisation that not all their customers are on the S/SE coastline.

Rantett over. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
