I've used it to stick up lining, a sort of furry carpet like substance that had come down, OK so far after a year.

Still think traditional Evo Stik is better, although not in a cabin unless well ventilated, or you have a certain lassez faire attitude to your health/sanity.

The Sherrif said "Oooh the colours man" and was promptly horribly sick.

Oh aye it does. I used Gripfill to stick new battens to the cabin roof with it. Works out cheaper if you go to your builders merchant and buy a box of 6 tubes for 10 quid.
