Fancy your own "No mooring alongside - by order of the harbourmaster" sign?

Specially for the Solent - tie it on the end of your raft when you see a stag party boat, S*nsail boat, or disgusting old nail with dirty topsides and undersized fenders heading your way.

Available soon from all overpriced chandlers....?

What new gadget would you like to see this season?

In view of a recent post regarding unexploded bombs in the Solent, I would like to purchase from any local swindery, at greatly reduced price, a sign reading 'Danger- unexploded Bomb; Keep Clear at All Costs. By Order of HM Bomb Squad'. I would use it after entering Yarmouth early on a Saturday during the height of the summer season. Should be interesting?

Re: Splendid idea

err if the holding tank is undescovered how do you know to fit the UXP sign.. or do you just fix the sign up assuming that some day you might just discover a holding tank??? Why not fit a danger Jock aboard sign... bet that would be even scarrier/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Would you adapt the UXP to read UHT 'cuse I reckon that would repel a lot although for diff reason/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Instead of the weird fake cats you see in chandlers l;ately, what about a lifelike Pitbull complete with drooling saliva and realistic growling??

Combined with a guard rail with nappies pegged out to dry should be effective.

What a brilliant idea! Is this the ultimate deterrent? Nobody who intends to use harbours where rafting-up is common practice should go without a copious supply of nappies to hang on the guard rails. Who in their right mind would want to tie-up alongside a boat-full of babies. I found it very useful when mine were that small, so I know it works.
