I am in the unfortunate position of owning 2 boats, why is it when insuring I'm only entitled to 1 no claims bonus, even though I have been with the same company 20 years without 1 claim, is this the norm? Would this happen with car insurance?

It happened with me on cars as well ..... so found it better to split the insurance with the wife .... on my 1st car she is named second driver ... on my 2nd car I am named second driver ........ that way we got round it !!

I have 3 boats but only required to insure 1 !!!! 1 in Uk - thats insured, others in Baltics - no requests yet .... but soon they are in EU ..... Oh God !!!!

Hi,

I would phone around and ask some other companies. With car insurance you can sometimes find companies to extend your no claims to a second car. Normally you will only get away with this if it is classic or 4X4 or something different which you won't use everyday.

Good luck.
