Dunno if this will help, but the government have opened an e-petitions website. We probably ought to have a red-diesel entry in there.

It ought to be stared by someone in the industy to help give it some credability. Keith? I don't know how many users this forum has, but I'm sure we could put a lot of names in.

Yeh, 'cos Tony will really pay attention to e-petitions and its not really designed to avoid embarrasing press coverage of people marching up to no. 10 with dozens of box files under their arms.

Besides, its not the government that needs convincing - its the EU Council of Ministers isn't it?
