NMEA out from new gps

Hello
My new gps has 4 coloured wires. Black red green and yellow. The Raymarine C70 NMEA cable has green white brown yellow. I assume the black and red are power but what do l connect from the GPS yellow green? Yellow green again?? Seems too obvious!
I have a separate power supply for the red and black from the sea talk cable (which perversely is red and yellow!) does all this sound correct?

There are no consistent standards in 0183 wiring. Check the function of each wire for each device.
'Data out' on one goes to 'data in' on other. Or Tx (transmit) to Rx (receive) and vice versa.

Might be easier to help you if you tell us which GPS as each may have its own colour code. Hence Mike's comment
