I have to connect two instruments, just two wires required to take an NMEA 0183 sentence from the wind instrument to the autopilot. Do I have to use twisted pair wire, shielded wire, or can I use ordinary two core cable?
Problem solved. I had a piece of ordinary twin wire, and used it. It works just fine and the autopilot control head now shows wind mode with the apparent wind angle displayed.
