Good morning

I would be grateful for any feedback on the Nimbus nova range I have seen a couple of these for sale and they look very solid ?

I have just recently sold a Jeanneau and am looking for a good solid day boat with occasional overnighting ability.

Thanks

I am bumping this up so others might see it. I have no personal experience of nimbus boats, but they have a great reputation, alongside most Scandinavian boats.

Good brand, solid reputation and build. I think I went round one when looking for my boat and rejected it on the grounds of very narrow side decks near the cockpit that SWMBO didn't feel comfortable with. As you can see from my profile, went for a Hardy 25 instead

I have a Nova 27S which I believe has a different cockpit design to the 26.

The 27 has a wide starboard side deck with deep gunwhales which makes it easy to walk around to the bow / windlass. Engine access is easy and the canopies are a piece of cake. It certainly feels much more solid / better made than my previous boats.

I keep the boat in the Dry Stack at Cobbs. Happy to show you over .

As you probably know the Nova is the Nimbus "sports" range. They are very popular up in Scandinavia for bashing about the archipelago etc but never sold very well in UK- price probably !
Always liked them too- if you want a good dayboat, going to beach with alot of clobber etc, just the ticket, I reckon. Open boat to point out the obvious.
Always loved this larger one !

Thanks for the response , I think I saw yours for sale through Boatshed last year , lovely boat , I sold my Jeanneau earlier in the year which I also kept at Cobbs Quay in the dry stack.

If I purchase the Nova 26 R I may return to Cobbs so will keep in touch !!!

Regards

Kevin
