Would any Nimbus owner know who supplies the forward Deck Hatch for the Nimbus 320? My two year old boat has sprung a leak and have been waiting for a month, in vain, for local agent to respond with advice. Local people seem reluctant to lift and rebed because, they say, for fear of damaging the acrylic insert. Got a few more avenues being approached but would welcome any input.

Peter,
You can contact Nimbus directly (contact details shown on the Nimbus website), www.nimbus.se When I wanted spares I found their service to be excellent. This went for my engineer too, who obtained two new hatchlights for me direct from Nimbus, they speak good English and dispatch and receipt of goods was made in short order. My engineer had initially contacted the UK distributor, who apparently does not get involved in the procurement of spares!, and suggested direct contact wih the builder

Thanks Adrian. At least he told you he would not deal. He does not answer me. I have a query out to sweden but if it was Lewmar, for instance, I can pick it up down the road.

Peter,
I have just had a look on the website, you can select spares by model. For a 320 they have the Skylight/moonlight advertised size (47 X 47 cm). The price is 4,950 SKR (about £430) plus shipping. A company called Rutgerson appear to supply the portlights, perhaps hatches as well?

Regards

Adrian

I changed the forward deck hatch on my Nimbus 27, I fitted a Gebo Hatch. The hatch is the Flushline Deck Hatch 470 x 470, product code number 80508000. The importer is IMP 15 Jarman Way Royston Herts SG8 5HW Tel No 01763 241300.
The Gedo hatch is manufactured in Holland, and is an excellent product and is fully backed up with a spares package for future maintenance. It cost about £260. It fitted perfectly into the recess.
