Hi - looking at the possibility of purchasing either one of the above boats, anybody have any experiance of them?. The skilso's all seem to be fitted with twin engines, power ranging from 2x100hp to 2x140hp, some of the Nimbus's have single engines, normally 1x200hp, again any comments. Our normal cruising routine is 2 people for a fortnight to perhaps France, west country or channel isles- previous boat was a fairline sedan 36. all views and opinions will be gratefully read

The Nimbus has a long long run, and there is a good choice of boats about . Some small differences between the 31+32, but they obviously got something very right indeed.
Dont know the other boat, but unless it really does tick some boxes for you that the Nimbus doesnt, I d think the Nimbus to be the safer bet when it comes to selling again. And we all do that at some point!

The Skilso 32 is a very good little boat, i had dealings with a couple. I believe that Berthon in Lymingotn were/are agents for Skilso so they might be worth checking out. The only downside i would say to the Skilso is the engine access for the main service is a bit tricky as is access to the dip sticks. Other than that they are a great little boat and good on the water.

The Nimbus is also a great boat and is very good on the water for what it is. Engine access is better but still not great, i would suggest that you have a good look at both boats and see how the space, layout and general practicalities of the boat work for you.

Good Luck and come back to me if you have any questions or if you find one of interest as i might know it!

I would go for the Skilso every time. More economical than Nimbus, great sea boat, more spacious, and better value. Some fittings are not as high quality as Nimbus but more than adequate for the job. If it has Yanmar engines then so much the better. Access to everything on the Yanmars is excellent.
