Having nearly acquired a Nimbus 29c that was re-engined a few years ago with a Volvo KAD 42 or is it 43,230hp diesel driving a Volvo duoprop, is there anything in particular I should watch out for. The boat is in Tenerife and I am paying for the Volvo man to service the engine and gearbox, do a compression test and check the clutch cones. The boat has been stood for 2+ years, so any advice welcome. Also is there much I can do in maintaining the engine/drive myself?
