Nieuwpoort, which marina is easiest?

Hello I was hoping someone might be able to advise me about the Npt marinas from a particular point of view. The last time I took a boat in there was about 1985..

The question is not about price or facilities, but:

I will be arriving in a very heavy, unmanouverable old gaff cutter, with a slightly dicky reverse gear, so:

Which marina has the easiest, longest visitors pontoon, where I can bash straight onto it, without having to do impossible u-turns in tiny spaces?

Bearing in mind she likes to go starboard side to if poss, and the wind will be moderate Southerly (at last!) and it will be around HW-ish.

I appreciate this is a bit of a niche enquiry..

But maybe somebody's been in there recently (@Sailorman?) and can visualise the scenario, it may save someone's pride and joy getting kebabed on the bowsprit..

Thanks PD

(You could say, go into Oostende, but it would mean punching tide, it's quite tight in there as well anyway, and I fancy a change!)

Easiest access for arrival will be VVW Nieuwpoort, (to east of SM suggestion). Last three pontoons up river have hammerheads fo ease landing, turn up river if necessary.

Both suggestions are good, although the KYCN (on starboard) has another, longer alongside pontoon on its starboard side as you enter. This however will probably be at least partly occupied by one or two classic yachts. A phone call to the harbourmaster will clarify that. Otherwise, as has been suggested, at VVW, which is my club, the hammerheads of pontoons A, B and C alongside the harbour channel are usually available for visitors. Beware the current which can be over 1 knot on the ebb. Again, give the harbourmaster a call.

I am now all fast on one of the hammer heads, thanks!
Unfortunately it's hissing down with rain, but hey ;)
