Nick Vass, thank you!

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to Nick Vass of Omega Yacht Services.

I have been looking at a Hurley 24/70 and was recommended to drop him a line for some advice and information by Caer Urfa on the forum.

I have never met Nick and I was just asking him for a bit of friendly advice really, but he has been more helpful than I could have ever have imagined. I now have all of the Hurley and Atlanta information I will ever need at my disposal and his help and advice has been fantastic.....and has probably saved me from buying what could have amounted to a complete money pit.

When I do find the boat i'm looking for, before I part with my hard earned, I will be getting a full survey done and I know who I shall be asking to do it!

Yes, I found him most approachable and more knowledgeable about older GRP boats than my previous surveyor, who stitched me up rotten.

Ive had 3 surveys done by Nick now, and have been impressed by his thoroughness every time.

Even better, as mentioned above, he's also very helpful and full of useful advice.

Good to know he's so well regarded - he did our survey: heaped praise on the boat, and said the price was very fair. That's not how previous surveys have looked. Not a criticism of Nick, but I did wonder at the time if I should get a second opinion. Needless to say, all has been fine and we're very happy with the boat.

He surveyed our SO 35 and was very, thorough, patient and informative. The written report was with us within 36 hours.

I will definitely ask him to do our next boat.
