About 11 year's ago I bought a Clipper Depth made by Nasa. At the time, they made the biggest digits around which I found irresistible.
You can imagine my outrage. After only eleven years of perfect service and countless knocks and UV rays the screen became hard to read.
For a laugh I phoned NASA who surprisingly suggested that I send it back to them.
I got a phone call from an engineer who said that the innards were fine but it needed a new LCD screen. For a total cost of around £25 inc postage and insurance it now sits on my boat again in glorious clarity.
Well done NASA.
Apparently they make and market their stuff in the UK.
