Nice Riva - shame about the caravan parked next to it...

Don't you just hate it when you park your nice shiny expensive car/boat somewhere nice and some vagrant type turns up with a caravan next door and then puts their washing out. Nice. (Oh, and this isn't Swansea Marina before you ask).

You could hardly describe that nice little Feeling sailing yacht as a caravan! This term would be better applied to those mobos on the other side, or the Sunseekerish boat to starboard of the Feeling.

I dont think that I would like to be the one responsible for keeping the varnish work up to scratch on the Riva.....

And I am sure that the laundry dried quickly - there is hardly a cloud in the sky!

One of those rivas in Barcelona last year, very pretty! Pauline was lusting after it! Not to mention the two guys polishing it!

It was just the washing hanging out to dry that amused me. Expensive boat, expensive marina and undoubtedly an expensive woman (or two) to impress and there's Albert Steptoe next door washing his socks.

Now I'm not normally a mobo man, though I have skippered a few, but from the age of about eight I said that I would practically sell my soul to the devil for a Riva, and my opinion hasn't changed. Gawd, I want one.

For the bigger Mobos I have I suppose old fashoned views, I tend to like Nelson type designs, some big Mobos are very plasticy caravan looking. However last week I saw a Riva 50 special, it had a reverse shear, looked lean and mean, I now have it earmarked for my lottery fund.
If it comes in again, I will post a piccy of it.
