It dawned clear and bright with the promise of better than sub-arctic temperatures so off we went to the Lake.
All was right with the world until I realised some [--word removed--] has stolen the rigging screw off my port cap shroud! Blight on an otherwise perfect day. Grrr.

I know the feeling. Some **** stole a shackle from the forestay of my Sea Cadet's Wayfarer some years ago. The mast fell down and had it not been for a very agile and quick witted 12 year old he would have been dead!
