A nice boat show is one with easy access, good range of boats on show, fine refreshments and low entry price

Been to Nice loads - didn't know they had a boat show! Hence I would *guess* that it's like a lot of smallish early-season boat shows along that coast around there - lots of secondhand recently-cleaned up actual boats for sale right now, plus chandlery and local dealers rather than lots of manufacturers in the sbs/excel style. Nice is a great town for a weekend incidentally, handy fast airport, cute olde town, good flower market, lots of cheap restaurants as a "real city" rather than a total tourist trap etc. The port is moderately tight for space so it just can't be a big allcomers thing, and i wd guess that many of the boats for sale are big and old and cheap and weird - it's one of the cheaper ports to keep a bigger boat. So, provided you don't want plan to review a whole load of "to order" production boats (except a local dealers stock, perhaps) it wd be quite good.

Stayed in Nice last July for my 40th birthday bash if you remember, great place. Had a trip to Antibes, Monaco etc. Had lots of online chat with jfm regarding the place.
I did not know there was one either but according to April MBY Med section there is. Cant see how that would work very well in Nice harbour can you ?
Maybe it's the first one this year ?

I was there two years ago.

Its a very small affair - basically the marina is ballon shaped with a road around it from the town to the cruise ship dock.

The dock wall is fenced in between the road and the harbour so you have a narrow 20/30ft patch to set the show that runs around the perimeter.

There are a couple of pontoons and some big (non show) boats on the cruise ship side, under the hill.

Frankly, if you are in town its worth a peep but I would not drive more than an hour to attend and certainly not plan a trip there from Blighty.

Looks a bit quirky. Website here. 120-ish boats on show, including a Vedette (Trippers' Boat) with an <<ingénieux système de baies vitrées montées sur vérins>>. (Loose translation: Ingenious sliding glass roof). How could you resist?

Also showing the new Oyster Mobo - which is nice.....

Typical bloody frogs! You would think the website would have an itty bitty union jack on it which you could click to get an english translation but, no. Obviously not interested in Brit visitors then
