next winter moorings

We are now entering our forth year as cruising liveaboards in Holland & as the new season approaches I thought I`d ask for any reccomendations for next winters mooring.

We spent 2 winters in Loosdricht & this winter in Gorinchem as liveaboards & are wondering if any of you guys had found any gems in the areas of Holland / Belgium ?

We bring a car for the winter but our criteria is a bit pickky

Must haves ;

water

16amp (or close) leccy

showers

wi-fi

Ideally

close to a good pub / shops / washerette

car parking

Marina preferred but harbour is ok



Any suggestions greatfully received

Winter Moorings.

Hi we have spoken before. Like you we are liveaboards enjoying the Dutch waterways.

This is our second winter in Jachthaven de Molenwaard, Hasselt OV, just north of Zwolle.

All your criteria are met apart from wifi, which is available via T-mobile Hotspot at about 80 Euro per month (ouch). The local cafe (pub) has free wifi (sorry about that).

For the last 2 years we have been the only liveaboards here, little contact with the harbour
master/owner who lives on site and is always around if needed.

For a small town there are good facilities (all you need) and Zwolle is only 10km away.

We expect to stay next winter but would be interested in your wintering experiences.

Jachthaven Laamens, on the alkmardemeer, in Akersloot, pub on site, village next door, Alkmaar down the road, other villages around, everything except WiFi.

Until very recently I had a T-Mobile UK mobile broadband subscription, which came with hotspot access.

I could use German T-Mobile hotspots with no problem and at no extra cost. It might be worth investigating this route for the Netherlands.

I am sitting looking at your boat as I type - it`s hot here & the sun is shimmering off tour hull.

Got FREE WI-FI here now - I`m the first to use it !

So when did the fire damage to your boat happen ?

Just kidding - she looks great !

Just got a quote for winter liveaboard - quite reasonable now, since they have fixed the wi-fi costs

Moving on in a few days into Frisland and then possibly a trip into Germany mid summer
when all the Germans are over here

Wind is zero today with cabin temp in the high 20`s
