next weekend forecast for light winds.... mmm

I've been watching that forecast as we are hoping to hop from Poole to Lymington on Friday then back again late Sunday. Swmbo won't do the trip unless the forecast is for a glassy passage. After recent attempts to plan channel crossings with longer range forecasts I shan't be holding my breath :)

we plan to go to Lymington either Friday night or Saturday am return Sunday, and if this forecast is close to reality that is what we will do... otherwise it will be a quick dash to Cowes for the weekend, nice but same old same old...

sorry but........

im towing down to mercury tomorrow morning (tuesday) to stay until friday, having decided not to go last saturday coz of the forecast, so that alone ensures F6 with snow showers from launch until recovery ....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!

next weekend indeed!

Random thoughts:

1 Portofino 31 = v good hull but probably wouldn't be on the plane in wind over tide conditions last Saturday.

2 The wipers are working!

3 'Course it'll be light winds this w/e: it's the round the island sailyboat race so they need to stack 'em up at the Needles.
