Do you want to save money, get your engine to fire first time every time, and avoid breaking down at sea and calling out the lifeboat? Knowing how to winterise your diesel engine can help you achieve some (or all) of these desirable aims. From fuel tanks to filters, impellers to injectors, and batteries to belt drives, even if you are an absolute novice this talk will set you on course towards understanding your diesel engine, and knowing how to give the tender loving care it needs during the winter.

A better idea

A prefer not to winterise the engine - much more fun to keep using the boat throughout the year.

I'm disappointed that the CA has joined the club that thinks engine failure is a legitimate reason to call out the lifeboat.

Being non-judgmental, the CA encompasses those who cruise in motorboats. Presumably, those are the ones who phone for the AA when the fan belt starts slipping.
