Spent Saturday night on a pontoon on the upper reaches of Hamble beyond all boatyards. Had a visit Sunday from Solitare (who had come up in his dingy)and after a cuppa , went down to look at his boat. After an interesting (Ok worrying!!) trip in his dingy, had a quick look at his defunct V8 as I was considering buying it, and got delivered back to boat in same wobbly, wobbly fashion. Nice one Dave/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I was with in company with another (non forumite) boat, and we decided on a trip to Newtown. After the colliwobble attack subsided (bad things happen there) we set off. Spent a pleasant afternoon in Newtown creek "on the hook" And when the tide started to drop curiousity got the better of me, and I went and had a look on the (now) dry gravel bank where my prop abandonded ship last time. Not there, unsurprisingly.

Were any of you there Sun A/noon?? It was Packed.

On another note.......When is the Cherbourg trip happening?? If at all??

Enough of my ramblings for now. Work to do.

Mind you it was far less wobbly when your mate got cold feet and decided to stay on dry land, lets face it 45 stone in a 6ft tub is not exactly the right thing to do/forums/images/icons/smile.gif I did'nt think the trip back was that bad/forums/images/icons/wink.gif Cheers for the cuppa. I got your PM and will respond later. Good to meet you and I'll give you an update on how new installation goes - I'm picking the "new" engine up next week.

Re: Cherbourg

got narrowed down to very end of june, first two weekends of july. Whichever has good weather forecast

<hr width=100% size=1>Err, let me know if Depsol enters the forum, I'll go and hide

I didn't expect you to find it there Col, as I believe it came off just after we cleared the creek and attempted to open her up. If you remember, she wouldn't lift and then all of a sudden just picked up.
