Having been an avid reader of PBO for many years and now a member of the forum, perhaps I would be allowed a short introduction. I have a story to tell of my choice of a cruising boat that was featured in Hiscock's book, Cruising Under Sail, which to my way of thinking was an ideal choice. I speak of "Restive", featured also in Yachting World in 1949.. My home is on Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia where we are in close proximity to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, one of the finest waterways in the world. In two months time the Australian Wooden Boat Festival will be held in Hobart, but before that the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race will have been completed. Life is full of nautical interest in this part of the world and I look forward to sharing ideas etc. about "Peter Robyn", a 'sister-ship-to Restive' and also picking your brains in an ongoing attempt to make improvements. Cheers, PeterR /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
