Newcomer (almost) needs advice

Perhaps I should have been more detailed... I am also in the market for a Landrover Discovery which I will be buying some time in the early new year. My budget for the boat will be in the region of £35k. I understand that the Descovery is plated for 3.5t (I am a HGV driver so towing shouldn't be too much of a problem). We have considered the marina aproach but we like the idea of different cruising (and fishing) areas. I guess the truth is we haven't completely made up our minds yet.

Also X HGV X Middle East. Problem is, These things wont stop. I used to tow an Impirial cuddy, about 21 ft and 8.5 beam. It did have a seperate toilet. Did Poole and Lough Lomond, also alot of Wales. Thing we found, you need a caravan,/ cottage as well. So easier to buy a proper boat.

Point Taken

Back from the boat show and I think we have made up our mind's. The trailer & boat combination is as most of you have pointed out too much like hard work, and I am sure would decay into once or twice a year activity!!

We liked the bene 760 a lot and will be looking for one in the near future (3-6m) and we are going to go for a marina berth in North Wales, although not sure where yet.

Thanks for the advice from everybody - it really helpled in focusing on the important stuff.

As Philiz mentioned there is a belting 760 berthed by Him.
We know the boat and owner.
Tiss as nice a 760 you will come across.
Dinorwic marina has spaces as far as I know too
Caernarfon (Victoria Dock) has a waiting list
Conwy and Deganwy will have space too I reckon
The best place is Dinorwic imho
The outer dock (the basin) has greater access to the water than any Marina in North Wales except Holyhead.
Virtually 24/7 on neaps!
Plus the Strait offers sheltered conditions most of the time.

Good choice the 760, great boat to begin 'The Adventure'!!
