Hello All,
First time on forum so excuse any missteps with posting. If anyone suggests I put this post in a better spot, please advise.
I am a life long boater/fisherman who has always had center console type boats. Most recent, a 32' Edgewater. After many years of wishing/dreaming/salivating what it would be like to own & fish from a sport fisherman, I just bought one. A 45' Rampage in NY. I plan on bringing it back to my home port @ Amelia Island/Fernandina Bch, FL sometime between Sept 15 & Oct 1.
If anyone has plans to bring their motor vessel through the NY area and heading south, I would greatly appreciate possibly tagging along in trail. I'm unfamiliar with waters north of NC and having fished offshore NC for a number of years, have high respect for water and weather there. I suspect my trip will involve both offshore & inshore legs as a result. I'm good with either, albeit my goal is to get home, not take too much time doing so. I have total respect for anyone's privacy so there won't be any babysitting or need beyond letting me follow you. My crew is well experienced too, but like me, no experience in the aforementioned waters.
My new boat cruises best anywhere between 22-28 kts & I hold 700 gallons fuel so no need to run in until day's end. From perhaps Charleston south, I will almost certainly run all outside or wait on weather to do so. I'm a bit antsy from NY to that point with no ICW experience.
If there's any potential for helping me along, please let me know. I'm unfamiliar with Private Messaging on this board so I'll include my email below. Thanks & hope to hear from someone...
