Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and already have a question. I recently bought a boat and since i live in NL i need to register it.

problem is: the previous owner nor i know the manufacturer nor whee to find the hull id.
It is obvious the boat is older than 1996 since it has a sticker on it that syas it has been approved for use on the sea for 1996.

any help on brand and or type would be much appreciated
also a clue where to find the HIN...

Hi Joey and welcome to the forum. If you'd tried to post a pic (it looks like you have) it's not showing up.

:)

yes sorry about that..
here's another picture..
(please delete the churchbench in your mind.. the previous owner added this and it is obviously already turned into firewood :) )

Prior to 1998 there was no requirement to show any form of identification so practice varied from builder to builder - and many small builders did nothing. If there is an HIN it will be on the transom, right hand side just below the gunwhale with the numbers moulded into the gel coat.

Excuse my ignorance but where's NL?

If you don't get any joy with this thread, re-post the pic in a couple of days. You'll get a fresh set of eyes looking at it.

Welcome to the forum.

Hey all,

Thanks for help.
I found the answer by accident on a boat website.

It's a Beaves marine - Europa 4
Obviously it's altered.
Originally it looked like this:
