Keiran Flatt.

Expect to read more about Twisters!

The author of the infamous Sailing Law Abroad article?

I'd had a little personal conspiracy theory that the sailing law abroad article was part of the reason for Paul Gelder retiring, I guess that was wrong in the light of this.

I wish Keiran the best. It's easy to slag off YM but I reckon you can usually find good stuff in it if you look.

I think the clue lies in the fact that Paul is coming up to 65? You don't have to retire then, of course, but I'm guessing he will be able to take various pensions at that point, and maybe do a bit more sailing :)

I wish him a long and happy retirement; he's going out on a high with the Crash Test Boat.

I was mislead by the fact that he looks so much younger than 64. :)

I wish him the best too, and the Crash test boat was a terrific idea.

Seconded.

May the new incumbent continue with the upward curve that Paul started.

Heard rumour back in Summer that Paul would be retiring soon. Almost ditched YM some time back, but have to say that Paul has done a great job. Over the years, yachting magazines just repeat stuff that has already been said. YM has had a good year - Crash test, Sea-cocks campaign just to name a few.

Big boots to fill!
