For the second New Years Day in succession I managed to get out on the water, this time my boat was not frozen, so I was able to use it, but I did have to use some hot water therapy to get the tell tail to produce some water.

We set off at 10AM in glorious sunshine and headed past Caernarfon and out into the bay to Pilot's Cove.

Lovely and calm with snow on the mountains.

With full day of events ahead of us, including ten pin bowling and go karting, we turned around and headed back.

But first we check out the itinerants parked in Abermenai. Note the prominent anchoring balls. When I mentioned their absence I was met with a V for Victory sign from Phil.

The castle was framed by snow clad mountains.

The final run home was a blast.

After that, the go karting in a blizzard was interesting.

The next day I woke up to discover that the value of my property had been halved in value as Captain Calamity and his crew attempted and then tried a few more times to attach Briza to the land outside my house.

They managed it eventually and Briza is the now the first thing I see when I look out the window.

I will admit that on New Years Day I suffered a 'Locking In' malfunction and even though I was facing forward when I entered the lock, I exited it backwards!

No "quarantine" flags visible on Briza after K's sterling work decontaminating MF, then ? What's the half-life of Dungium ?

How do you manage to get any work done with that view :)

Even using a table as a temporary desk as I redecorate, it is a bit of a diversion sometimes.

When the wind is in the East, we still get a whiff of ordure from Conwy.

While I am at it. I have been dying to post this picture for ages and I may get away with it in my own post. But my local council spent thousands of pounds putting up road safety signs. The car that hit this one would have slid harmlessly to a halt on the grass with minimal damage, but this 'safety' sign ensured that the car was badly damaged and the occupants were lucky to get away with their lives as parts of the sign penetrated the windscreen.

What price road safety?

I hope you missed the classic wood Mobo near the lock gates..........Oooh the Imam wont be happy with you!

Sorry I wasn't there Major, you know why! I was looking forward to Port and cheese on the back deck. See you next week end then I think (hope) Little Ship will be taken out of the water!

Tom

PS How come Briza and Kingo are in the POSH end...... thought they were occupants ofthe council estate, they'll let anybody in these days.

Yes, I missed woodpile and the Iman was partially to blame as he grabbed the wrong line!!! So, I got away with just a hard stare.

I am now parked opposite you and Briza is directly opposite the house.

Nice pics Major. Yes, I admit it I don't carry an anchor ball thingy :p There's nowhere to hang it if I did. Anyway, you should have come back later, just to be naughty we didn't switch the mooring light on till well after dark!
We were having a nice quiet day until the local hooligan decided to do a tight circle around us at speed, nearly made me spill me brew  Something tells me he might regret his actions at some stage ;)

Tom, you should get a mooring fee rebate up the posh end now, the council estate, on the other hand, has definitely gone more upmarket recently. Less riff raff there now don't yer know.

Nice avatar pic by the way Major, the hormone pills are working then! :D

[SIGH]I just wish we had soldiers like that in my day.[/SIGH]

We had a great blast out to Llanddwyn Island to exercise the engines. We would have stayed longer with you if there had been any sign of sandwiches, or even a choccy bickie, to go with the offered tea.

to go with the offered tea.

TEA ! Mirrormile has a bloody drinks cabinet as well........... mind you, you'll have to get the code for the lock first!]

Yes, I've never managed to prise the lock off that one. But, as I had to drive to Pwhelli, once I got back to PD, and then try and navigate a go kart around a track in what turned out to be a blizzard, a cup of tea and a bikkie would have been fine.

Mind you, tiss nice to have a 24/7 Proffesional keep an eye on One's Tub:)

Oh MC , do me a favour Old Boy.
Just nip across and tidy up the fenders port side.
Oh and check the larder (left some rather mature blue cheese festering) please.

See, BRIZA ain't used to life in the Posh Bit.

That would be nice.
Plus the neighbours (and Estate Agents too) would appreciate the attention.
Cheers
K:D
