Hi there

This is all new to me, we are purchasing a boat as a liveaboard to get out of this rat race and horrendous housing market down here in Devon.

Looking at buying a 1996 bayliner 3988, has anyone out there got one or similar model who could let us know of any 'manufacturer glitches'

Really looking forward to a new lifestyle, but need to narrow down the clothes and shoe department.................... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: Shoe Dept....

Nice to get a reply........

But a question to Pauline, where do you store them all. I think the tool box takes priority over my beloved shoes!!!

Ps Excuse my lack of knowledge what is a Raggie?

Can I ask what made you pick that? Only curious as I would have thought there were better choices for livaboard. How much travelling around are you going to do, perhaps a trawler type might be better as it has more room for shoes! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

have found the PC again amoungst all the shoe boxes, only joking.

Have looked at many boats (Raggies and Stinkies) The bayliner 3988 has currently come out on top, due to the following. It's only 8 years old has a huge galley 2 decent seperate seating areas, engine room that you can get to from an outside door rather than dismantling the salon floor. Also 2 great heads (small bath tu as well).

Last but not least she looks great (well we think so) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I see your yacht is in Dartmouth are you a lioveaboard or just pleasure?

We hope to do lots of travelling with the boat, but as and when work dictates I can take time off /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Uk based to start with but who knows were to after

Regards
