New Thames crossing

I had not heard anything about the new cable car crossing the Thames until I read it on the East Coast Pilot website today. When did they start construction? Anyone know the planned completion date? It says Summer 2012 on the Transport for London website which covers a wide range, but perhaps for the Jubilee?

Sounds as if it might be a fun thing to do when up at St Kat's, if it is ready in time.

we are ex east coast liveaboard sailers & still like to keep in contact with folks. We are currently on the Clyde on a circumnavigation of the uk. Planning to go over the top, have a looksy at our web site
