I dont very often listen to Chris Evans, but I had to meet the Carpetfitter at my sons house at 8.30 this morning and his show was on the car radio. He was really enthusing about his latest family outings in hired Thames River Cruisers.

He has been regularly boating on the Thames recently, running aground and everything, just like a real boater. He mentioned that he thought £10.00 per night at the Henley moorings was a great deal, and that more ought to try it.

Be prepared-they are coming................................................

All profits go to the Rowers.......

Multi millionaire Chris Evans thinks paying a tenner a night to moor in a town centre with no facilities and a shallow bottom is a great deal. Thankyou multi millionaire Chris Evans.

He was in Hurley lock with us on Saturday, which was on self service. Which, as it so happened, I operated solely for the benefit of the lock occupants, as we were going downstream and they were heading upstream with three other non experienced boaters and it saved time for us to do the lock. They were staring at the buttons and nothing much was happening...

He needs to learn how to use a bowthruster and say thank you to someone who had just operated the whole lock process for their benefit. And his wife, who is heavily pregnant should not be pushing a 42ft boat off the lock side with her bare feet.
