New Tender - Best budget buy or best on test?

+1. Excellent piece of kit, it replaced a 10 year old Zodiac which cost as much when I bought it as the Honda.

I like the Honwave, but it's out of my price range. I will see what they're offering at SIBS tomorrow, but I can't imagine they'll be knocking £100 off.

I'm also replacing a 10 year old Zodiac. Even if they weren't overpriced for what is, after all, a fairly ordinary bit of kit, I won't be going near another Zodiac until they completely redesign their rowlocks. The PBO review where they broke on both Zodiacs says it all. It bears out my experience and shows they simply aren't fit for purpose and are potentially dangerous.

I have a slatted floor and it's great when they are in. The problem is that they are such a PITA to transport, install and remove after use that 90% of the time I don't bother! I only put them in when I am carrying something "spiky" like an outboard. So I suppose an inflatable floor would be good for me.

I always left the slats in mine, but they were individual ones that rolled up with the boat. That could, of course, explain why I replaced them 3 times! (the last time was with UPVC, which is a bit more flexible than I'd really like, but at least it won't rot.)

Airdeck floors puncture easily and certainly don't stand up to "spiky" things, as we found out.
