Hi,

I should like to share a little project with you. I had a table base that over years had started to look very bad ... impossible to buy a replacement part (base cover) so only option was to go after a complete new table leg with base.... Since the old one is fully operational and this is a cosmetic issue only I did not want to spend several hundred USD ..... so went to a shop and had them bend a 3mm stainless steel plate (AISI 316) and polished it with wet sanding paper grid 200, 400, 1000 and finished with 2000. Fixed the plate over the old cover with some silicone for outdoor use. It is now high gloss and shinny like new. Total cost USD 80,-. Just an idea for a winter project :-)
